Fans of EastEnders may find themselves confused when they switch on BBC One this evening
to watch the latest episode of the soap, as there has been a switch-up in the schedules.
This is hardly anything new – soap fans are used to them dancing around the schedules a little,
whether this is due to unexpected programmes dropping into the schedule or sporting fixtures taking over the airwaves.
Due to a combination of Euro 2024 coverage and a new Question Time Leader’s Special ahead of the general election, the EastEnders episode for Thursday 20th June 2024 has been moved from its usual slot.
However, it’s not all doom and gloom: not only will the episode still be airing tonight in a different slot than usual, it is also already available to stream on BBC iPlayer, as is usual with the show’s current release schedule.
The new episode sees Harvey worrying about the past, while the residents of Walford participate in a charity fundraiser talent show in memory of Lola.

When is EastEnders next on?
The Thursday 20th June episode of EastEnders will air on BBC Two at 7:30pm, rather than on the usual channel of BBC One.
This is down to the BBC One airing the Denmark v England Euro 2024 game from 4pm, followed by the BBC News. A Question Time Leaders’ Special will then air at 8pm on BBC One, in advance of the UK General Election on Thursday 4th July.
In good news for fans, the BBC will be putting their episodes on BBC iPlayer as normal, meaning fans can still watch the episode on iPlayer from 6am.
