It’s been two years since This Is Us ended, but one star from the series is keeping the show’s memory alive in a unique way.

Actress Alexandra Breckenridge currently stars in Virgin River on Netflix, and fans also know her as Sophie Inman (the on-again, off-again girlfriend of Justin Hartley’s Kevin Pearson) on the hit NBC drama. Well, she’s showing everyone what it’s like to be a character on This Is Us, with the help of a video that helped her score the role.

When Alexandra posted a throwback video on Instagram, fans saw her standing in front of a blank wall while reading her lines for the camera. Plus, people heard what appears to be husband Casey Hooper saying lines to her, helping to create the scene that would later be part of the season 1 episode “I Call Marriage.”

When the actress’ followers saw the clip that helped her secure the role on This Is Us, they immediately went crazy over how much they enjoyed getting a behind-the-scenes look at all of it.

“This is Sophie. I miss her . You did an amazing job portraying her, and I see why they cast you!!” one person wrote in the comments. “So cool! We can feel your emotions! Thanks for sharing Alex. Such a great character: Sophie!!♥️,” another exclaimed. “And that’s why Alex is so awesome, ladies and gentlemen. It was just the audition… and I could see Sophie right there! Chef’s kiss  Alex!” another follower chimed in.

As viewers know, Alexandra eventually landed the role and portrayed Sophie throughout the six seasons of This Is Us. People may also remember that while Sophie and Kevin’s relationship was on the rocks even before the first episode, the two rekindled their romance by the finale, and they ended up living together with Kevin’s kids.
