Fans are clinging to a sinister death theory in Virgin River Season 2 Part 5 that could ruin Christmas.
As the much-anticipated second part of the fifth season of “Virgin River” approaches, it seems impossible
that more twists are hidden in our beloved Netflix drama. However, a fan theory recently shared online left everyone stunned.
At the beginning of the first part of the fifth season, we reported on the revelation that Jack Sheridan (Martin Henderson) is not the biological father of Charmaine Roberts’ (Lauren Hammersley) twin children. In a shock to fans, the real father is revealed to be local gang leader Calvin.
While Jack and his fiancée Mel Monroe (Alexandra Breckenridge) face the challenge of a miscarriage throughout the season, the trailer for the final episodes shows Charmaine going into labor. With “Virgin River”’s track record of delivering big surprises, some fans on Reddit are speculating a dark twist.
“It would be absurd, but I can imagine it… Charmaine dies, Jack and Mel adopt the duos, and Calvin secretly stalks them since no one else knows he’s alive,” one fan wrote.
While some viewers agreed, they revealed that it would be devastating if the theory came to fruition. “As soon as they gave Mel the miscarriage, I thought: my God, they’re going to make Charmaine die in childbirth, aren’t they?” commented another follower. “Concord. I will be outraged if they kill Charmaine so Jack and Mel can have their babies,” said another.
Despite speculation, the exact stage will only be known when the second part of the fifth season is released on Netflix, on November 30th.
However, producer Patrick Sean Smith told Glamor that the final episodes will have a lighter, happier tone, in contrast to the heaviness of the season. “The holiday episodes are a little lighter, and we wanted to play with the comedy a little more after the weight of this season,” he said in October. “It felt like if we were going to give the public a holiday gift, let it be a fun one.”
Therefore, if Charmaine’s death happens, it could ruin the Christmas episodes. The hope, therefore, is that Virgin River takes a lighter approach to Christmas.
This is a prospect that can certainly excite “Virgin River” fans, who eagerly await the new episodes and the development of these surprising theories.
