After Bonnie left, Xander returned to the living room with Sarah. “I’m just glad Maggie’s nightmare is over,” Xander said,

noticing Sarah seemed preoccupied. Sarah then shared the news of a disturbing phone call. Xander speculated it might be for the best that his mother didn’t attend the wedding, but assured Sarah, “As long as I’m marrying my first love, the day will be great.” Xander expressed that Maggie has been more of a mother to him than his own ever was.

Upstairs, Maggie fought back tears as she put on Victor’s robe and looked at their wedding photo. “Constantine is dead, Victor. You can finally find peace, my love,” she murmured.

At the Bistro in the Square, Leo called Dr. Marlena Evans in her office. Marlena reminded Leo that he should only call her for emergencies, not to interpret dreams. Frustrated, Leo booked an appointment for that day. As he crossed paths with Theresa in the square, Leo blocked her way, requesting an exclusive interview about her relationship with Constantine. Defensive, Theresa insisted her only connection was when Constantine tried to strangle her. Leo pressed, noting that Constantine chose her as a hostage at the wedding. Theresa reluctantly admitted she had been in the room with Constantine the most. Leo hinted at an enemy within their midst, but Theresa refused to discuss the traumatic event further.

Meanwhile, in Marlena’s office, Alex arrived for his session, confirming that everyone was safe after the hostage situation. Alex revealed that he had discussed having an open relationship with Theresa, which led to her rekindling things with Brady. This realization made Alex fully commit to Theresa. Marlena noted that trust is crucial in any relationship, and Alex acknowledged his past doubts due to his inheritance issues.

Leo, arriving for his appointment, confessed to Marlena that he felt pathologically lonely. He admitted that his betrayal of his best friend for Dimitri weighed heavily on him. Marlena encouraged Leo to start by loving himself, reminding him to silence the negative voice of his mother. Leo agreed to work on himself with Marlena’s guidance.

Later, Alex and Theresa met at the cafe in the Town Square. Alex conveyed his commitment to Theresa, despite their past confusions with other relationships. They both affirmed their love for each other.

Meanwhile, Jack ran into Bonnie at the Brady Pub. They hugged, discussing Clyde’s capture. Jack confirmed that Clyde would be in solitary for life. At a Chicago bank, Chad and Julie awaited access to Clyde’s safety deposit box, speculating whether it held evidence that Abby might still be alive.
