Criminal Minds Fans Claim the Show Has ‘Gone Off the Rails’ as Key Stars Are Missing from the Episode

NCIS Los Angeles is nearing its final-ever episode as the CBS drama looks set to end with a bang. As such, fans have been hoping the last few episodes would deliver the explosive action and gripping storylines. However, a number of episodes of the final season have aired without all of the OSP appearing – a trend which happened again in Sunday’s episode, Sleeping Dogs.

Taking to Twitter during the instalment, Leo Schwartzer raged: “So, Kensi & Deeks are outta town visiting Rosa’s aunt. Yet another excuse the writers came up with for us not to see them together.

“This shows really gone off the rails. Wanna ‘justify’ the cancellation? Hurt Densi, the heart & soul of the show for 14 years.  #Densi #NCISLA.”

And Cyprienne Arceneaux fumed: “So last week it was Callen who wasn’t on last week’s episode and this week it’s Kensi and Deeks.

“If this was a message from Hetty and Ops went into dark mode for this, I think I would need the whole team on this assignment #NCISLA

Meanwhile, @kwanfan1212 wasn’t pleased as they said: “Oh come on….no Densi at all tonight?!??!

“IT’S YOUR LAST SEASON, GIVE US EVERYONE IN THESE LAST EPS! #NCISLA (And also give Castor a really good review!!!).”NCIS LA season 14: Sam and Callen

While @ameliascancamp shared a gif of someone crying alongside the caption: “Deeks and kensi not in this ep …”  (sic)

As one fan mentioned, this isn’t the first time NCIS LA fans have been left scratching their heads as to the whereabouts of the show’s biggest stars so far this season.

Almost all of the show’s core cast have missed an episode or two so far in season 14 with Deeks and Kensi being the latest instances.

The bad news for fans didn’t stop there following Sunday’s episode either.

CBS has announced NCIS LA season 14 won’t be returning to its usual Sunday night time slot next weekend.

In fact, fans are set for three weeks without seeing the OSP on screens as episode 17 of the 14th run isn’t billed to air until April 16

With a fair few weeks to go until the new episode, CBS is yet to release a synopsis or promo for the upcoming instalment.

However, fans will undoubtedly be hoping it will mark a return to action for Kensi and Deeks.
