EastEnders star Lacey Turner showed off her baby bump on the red carpet of the Inside Soap Awards just hours after revealing her exciting news on social media

Actress Lacey Turner showed her blossoming baby bump on the red carpet just hours after revealing her pregnancy.

The EastEnders star, 36, attended the annual Inside Soap Awards in London on Monday evening on the same day she shared her exciting news on social media. She took to Instagram to upload a family shot in which her two kids revealed the sweet news. Sharing the exciting announcement, the star shared a snap of herself, her husband Matt and their two children Dusty, five, and three-year-old Trilby holding a pregnancy scan.

Doting mum Lacey captioned the image of the beaming family: “Aren’t we lucky….. @thekayoskids” alongside a string of heart emojis.

Just hours later, she was smiling on the red carpet of the glamorous event alongside her soap star cast mates. She looked amazing in a shimmery gold dress after the gang won the Best Showstopper Award. She completed her look with a pair of platform open-toe heels and a gold necklace.

She stood alongside Kellie Bright, Letitia Dean, Diane Parish, Gillian Taylforth and Balvinder Sopal as they showed off their award. The gong was presented for the scenes in which Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) killed Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters), and led to an ongoing murder conspiracy.

After Lacey announced her pregnancy news online, many fans were quick to congratulate her. Among them was her famous pal and fellow EastEnders actress Jacqueline Jossa, who wrote: “So special ! Congratulations angel all of you!! Beautiful x.”

Co-star Shona McGarty also penned: “NOOO WAY!!!!!!!!! Omg! I’m not crying i swear!! Congratulations you beautiful soul xx happy dance. All my love, Potato xxxxxxxxx”

Patsy Palmer was also in the comments section sending her love. “Congratulations beautiful girl & family,” she gushed. “Yes you are very lucky and a wonderful mum so lucky them too. Love you and can’t wait for big hugs again soon.”

Lacey, is best known for portraying the character Stacey Slater on the Walford-based soap. She made her debut on the cobbles in 2004 and has been involved in a number of iconic scenes in Albert Square since joining. Her character even became a grandmother in 2023 when her daughter Lily gave birth.

She married her teenage sweetheart Matt Kay after initially meeting at a friend’s house at the age of 15. They have been together ever since and tied the knot in 2017.
