Julie and Chad hit an unexpected roadblock in their search for Abigail, while EJ takes a bold step in blackmailing Paulina

into appointing him as DA. Meanwhile, Paulina and Abe have decorated their place for Johnny and Chanel’s goodbye party, which also coincides with their anniversary. Paulina is unsure how to bid farewell to her kids, but Abe suggests viewing it as them embarking on their own adventure.

As they prepare for the party, there’s a knock at the door. Paulina, expecting Chanel and Johnny, is surprised when Eli and the twins arrive. Eli reveals they planned this surprise for their anniversary. When Eli inquires about Lonnie, he learns she stopped by the bakery to check on Chanel. Paulina is puzzled, but Eli explains Lonnie anticipated Chanel working, aware of their strained relationship. Paulina admits relief that they are at least talking, despite the tension.

At Horton Square, Chanel closes up her bakery, Sweet Bits, feeling down. Lonnie arrives to check on her sister. Chanel shares that she closed the business because she and Johnny are leaving Salem for Johnny’s new job as an assistant director on a film. Lonnie is pleased they stopped by before leaving and offers her assistance. Chanel confides that hearing the baby’s heartbeat was a joyful moment, though they still await radiation level results. She reveals she reconciled with their mother, making parting a bit easier.

Back at the DA mansion, Stefan confronts EJ about his plans to regain his position to help Gabi. EJ insists he’s made his case to Paulina and is confident it will work out. However, Stefan warns him about the consequences of revealing DNA tests on Tiny Jude, which would impact Nicole, Eric, and Jude’s future.

Later, Johnny informs EJ about his new job in California, working with his favorite filmmaker. EJ, though not initially supportive of Johnny’s career choice, expresses admiration for Johnny’s principles and wishes him happiness.

As the family gathers for Johnny and Chanel’s farewell, EJ arrives, surprising everyone. He discusses with Paulina the possibility of reinstating him as DA, hinting at blackmail. Eli interrupts, but EJ smoothly covers up their conversation, promising that the DA’s resources are always available for family visits.

In another plotline, Stefan and Jada discuss persuading Clyde to reveal secrets to help Gabby, with Jada pushing Stefan to engage in risky activities. Despite his reservations, Stefan is determined to find a way to free Gabby without breaking the law.
