The actress took to social media with a public message for Alan Halsall

Coronation Street star Samia Longchambon was seen sharing her love for her co-star as she marked a special occasion. The actress took to social media with a public message for Alan Halsall on his birthday.

The actor, who is famed for playing Tyrone Dobbs, was celebrating his 42nd birthday on Sunday (August 11). Fans of the ITV soap may recall Alan first appearing on the cobbles 26 years ago, with his debut airing in November 1998.

His first scenes saw him playing Kirby’s Dream Land when his assumed mother Jackie Dobbs came to stay with Deirdre Barlow, who who been her cellmate in Redford Prison. And the rest, as they say, is history.

But his long-stint on the famous show means Alan has built up a number of close friendships and so his castmates were quick to share messages on his birthday.

It started with Andy Whyment, who plays Weatherfield’s Kirk Sutherland, as he shared a selfie of the pair to his Instagram Story and said: “Happy Birthday @alanhalsall. Enjoy your day bro.” On-screen mum Claire Sweeny, who plays Cassie Plummer, also shared a snap and said: “Happy birthday my darling boy @alanhalsall.”

Samia, who is known for starring as Corrie’s Maria Windass, shared a photo of herself, Alan and Andy to her Instagram Story and said: “Happy birthday to the one ‘n’ only @alanhalsall. have a mega day… love ya!” to which Alan reshared the post and said: “Love this pic.

Meanwhile, Samia also took to her main Instagram grid on Sunday and shared beaming photos of herself, looking gorgeous in a summery white dress, in her garden partaking in a bit of tree-hugging. Alongside the post she wrote in view of her 449,000 followers: “The trees in my garden give great hugs.”

Corrie co-star Sally Carman-Duttine was quick to respond, writing: “So gorgeous.” Former soap star Sophie Austin also replied: “Beautiful.” Her fans and followers also commented, with @nigelhami saying: “Oh wow. You look stunning. Lucky tree I say.”

@carollacey23 replied: “Aww so nice to see love your dress.” @stevenlnt1 posted: “Lovely pictures. You look gorgeous.” @sjbluebay shared: “Beautiful lady. Love the dress.” @the_saint1957 added: “Beautiful as always samia, and never looking a day older. Long may you stay in Coronation St.”
