Coronation Street fans are convinced they know who will be Joel Deering’s next victim, which could lead to the sinister solicitor’s downfall on the ITV soap

Coronation Street fans are on high alert, suspecting they’ve uncovered the identity of villainous lawyer Joel Deering’s next target, potentially leading to his downfall in the popular ITV soap.

In a recent shocking twist, Joel was unveiled as the murderer of Lauren Bolton. Roy Cropper had been mistakenly arrested and charged as the prime suspect in the alleged murder of missing teen Lauren.

However, DS Lisa Swain and newcomer Kit believed they had solved the case when they arrested abuser Nathan Curtis, who had previously tormented Bethany Platt and had just been released from prison.

During an intense interrogation of Nathan in his cell, with Joel acting as his legal representative, a disturbing flashback seemed to point to Nathan as the culprit. But later in the episode, it was shockingly revealed that Joel was actually Lauren’s killer.

So far, Joel has evaded justice, and the residents of the cobbles remain unaware of his wicked deeds, reports the Mirror.

Recently, Joel selected a new victim after he noticed Max’s on-again-off-again girlfriend Sabrina in distress outside the police station, learning that her brother had been arrested. Joel gave her his business card and suggested she contact him.

In Monday’s episode, Joel conveniently ran into Sabrina at the precinct, where they shared a coffee.

Telly buffs have caught onto something sinister on “Corrie” as they watched Joel give young Sabrina the creeps by slyly dropping booze into her coffee and boasting about his ex. The character even went as far as to say he was “punching” with his former flame, leaving Sabrina bemused but strangely chuffed.

Yet alarm bells rang loud when one of Sabrina’s mates stepped in, branding Joel a total “creep” and a warning to ditch him STAT.

Later, with nerves of steel, Sabrina’s pal faced off against the shifty solicitor Joel, dishing out some top-notch blackmail material she’s got a “big gob” and isn’t afraid to blab about creepers. She delivered the blunt ultimatum: “Doesn’t sound good, does it? Weird old lawyer chatting up young vulnerable woman, supplying her with alcohol!”

But crafty Joel wasn’t having any of it and hit back with: “I was just trying to help”, before cheekily telling her to toddle off back to her “doll’s house” and calling her a “little girl”.

Now, Corrie enthusiasts fear for the worst after this electrifying face-off. Hitting Twitter like a storm, fans are sharing their dread that Sabrina’s courageous chum might be in the crosshairs next.

Tweets are flying thick and fast, with comments such as: “Oh s**t, Sabrina’s mate is next #Corrie”, and others predicting a grim twist with: “Sabrina’s mate gonna come to a sticky end #Corrie”. Some reckon she’ll vanish into thin air, with posts like “She’s gonna go missing #Corrie”, while others speculate that Joel has a new target: “Joel’s gonna kill Sabrina’s blonde mate, isn’t he #corrie.”

Meanwhile, other soap fans were quick to highlight Joel’s impending doom. One viewer tweeted: “#corrie.
