Soap watchers will recall that the character returned to the cobbles at the very end of 2023 after three years away. Bethany soon rekindled her relationship with ex Daniel Osbourne, much to the dismay of his former fiancée Daisy Midgeley.

Daisy had recently cheated on Daniel with Ryan Connor. This resulted in a new love triangle as Daisy struggled seeing Daniel pursue Bethany following her betrayal, especially after accidentally walking in on them getting cosy. However, Daisy has now entered into a relationship with Ryan and has befriended former nemesis Bethany.

In real life, away from the cobbles, Bethany actress Lucy Fallon recently revealed she is pregnant with her second child and is halfway through her pregnancy with her footballer partner, Ryan Ledson. As such, it’s likely Lucy will be going on maternity leave later this year and soap watchers have been predicting possible exit storylines.

Soap fans will recall that only recently exes Daisy and Daniel have connected over mysterious and dodgy police officer Kit Green. Kit made an appearance earlier this year as Bernie Winter’s long-lost son. However, Kit’s suspicious behaviour has raised eyebrows amongst viewers, especially after his actions towards Bernie.

Meanwhile, earlier this year, police officer Kit planted a then missing Lauren Bolton’s DNA to frame Nathan Curtis, who was arrested, with real culprit Joel Deering then still at large. While in recent scenes, Kit got into secret cahoots with criminal Sid and his dodgy counterfeit T-shirt business, warning he won’t say a word as long as he gets half the cut of profits.

However, Beth Tinker, whose son Craig works with Kit in the police, recently caught Kit, spotting him working with Sid who was selling counterfeit T-shirts that Beth had designed. Beth accused Kit of being a bent copper, claiming to have rumbled he wasn’t the good guy he’d claimed to be. With Kit’s career possibly at risk, on Wednesday night he blackmailed Beth and threatened her to leave the cobbles for good.

Yet it’s not just Beth suspicious as Daisy Midgeley has been left wary after Kit temporarily moved into the Rovers Return Inn before moving to Redbank, which Jenny Connor pointed out must be the flat that Daisy and her ex Daniel Osbourne were going to buy. Meanwhile, Daisy’s ex Daniel also told her that he doesn’t trust Kit and something doesn’t sit right about Nathan’s conviction.

Taking to Twitter, now X, viewers were delighted over the exes together again and hoped it could mean a reunion for the duo in upcoming episodes.
