If you watch any TV at all you’ll recognise the Hollywood actor in EastEnders

Dean Wicks’ (Matt Di Angelo) trial kicks off in EastEnders tonight – and it features someone very familiar.

Earlier this year, The Six managed to frame Dean for Keanu Taylor’s (Danny Walters) murder, which occurred on Christmas Day last year. As expected, Dean was never going roll over and allow someone to send him to prison for a crime he didn’t commit and this week, it’s the all-important trial.

Dean will be represented by a lawyer called Finn. He is played by Neil Roberts, who is no stranger to the world of soapland.

Neil was last seen in the BBC One soap playing Finn for the trial that saw George’s (Colin Salmon) adoptive father questioned over the racially aggravated murder of George’s biological dad.

‘Having acted in every other British soap, I am absolutely delighted to be completing the set as I join the cast of EastEnders for a guest role in episodes set to air next week that form part of George Knight’s ongoing Farming storyline’, Neil exclusively told Metro.co.uk at the time.

‘The whole team at EastEnders were hugely supportive and the group of actors I worked with were astonishing – they had such an intensity and level of professionalism on set, and there was a real sense of importance from all cast and crew about getting this story right to ensure it was portrayed accurately and sensitively.

‘It was evident that all involved were treating this storyline with the utmost care, and I am thrilled to be a part of this story.’

The Hollywood star also has a recurring role as DS Wise in ITV’s Emmerdale. The character was seen in the village last year, when he investigated the suspicious circumstances surrounding Craig Reed’s (Ben Addis) death.

In Coronation Street, Neil portrayed Mike Leydon from 2011-2012, he appeared in Hollyoaks in 2017 as Glenn Donovan, and played a variety of characters from 2003-2021 in BBC One’s Doctors.

He certainly keeps himself very busy!

In tonight’s episode, Sharon (Letitia Dean) and Keanu’s actual killer Linda (Kellie Bright) are terrified by the prospect of Dean evading justice and them becoming estranged by their young children.

Sharon is dealt a horrifying reminder of what she has to lose when her ex Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) shows up to take their son Albie to school.

When Sharon arrives to be cross-examined, Finn leaves her troubled when he digs into
