Viewers have tuned into the long-running ITV soap in horror as they watched Roy Cropper (David Neilson) suffer a heart attack.

In a highly-criticised storyline, Roy was wrongly charged and imprisoned as she was suspected of murdering Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton).
The cafe owner was released from jail, after Nathan Curtis (Christopher Harper) was arrested.
In recent scenes, he was set upon by a group of hoodlums who accused him of being behind the disappearance of Lauren.
Carla Connor (Alison King) promptly saved him, before he was rushed to hospital after collapsing in the cafe later that same day.
