EastEnders Spoilers: ‘Second murder’, prison twist and whodunnit

EastEnders’ Reiss Colwell could be leaving the BBC soap as the walls close in on his recent lies, with speculation about how he will exit teasing a major twist

EastEnders viewers are calling for Reiss Colwell to face his comeuppance following a murder twist and an arrest on the BBC soap.

Viewers know that Reiss recently murdered his wife Debbie in the care home she was being looked after in. In a shocking turn of events, the police arrested and charged his new partner Sonia Fowler for the crime.

With Sonia led away and sent to prison and Reiss still not confessing his crimes, it seems he has gotten away with it for now. But how long until someone finds the proof they need that seals Reiss’ fate?

Might Reiss be set for a departure at some point, or could someone make sure he pays for his lies? There could be multiple ways in which Reiss leaves Walford with fans already speculating.

Prison twist and tragic death

Of course Reiss could be caught out over his scams and the murder of Debbie and be sent to prison. Characters will no doubt be onto him now as his lies unravel, so there could be some evidence against him.

But might that evidence come from Reiss striking again? Could someone get on the wrong side of Reiss, resulting in him silencing them? Could Sonia herself be at risk? If Reiss did commit another crime the police would have to catch him out, no doubt with the help of a resident or two.

Whodunnit

One theory being repeated is that after making a number of enemies, Reiss could be bumped off in a dark whodunnit. Enemies include Phil Mitchell and now Sharon Watts, while Martin Fowler and Jack Branning are also onto him.

Suki Panesar was also suspicious recently, while Kathy Beale, Stacey Slater and Lauren Branning also think there’s more to the recent drama. Will someone end up killing Reiss, sparking a killer storyline? After all, six of the mentioned characters have form for covering up a murder…

Dramatic escape

There is every chance Reiss won’t die and he won’t go to prison either. Perhaps the police will be onto him, but by the time they figure it all out he may have fled with Debbie’s life insurance policy or her money if she has any left.

He’s already tried to flee once after Phil threatened him over his scam, so what’s to stop him again? With the police, Debbie’s parents and now Sonia’s loved ones all keen to expose the truth, perhaps Reiss will flee before Sonia’s return.
