EastEnders new killer ‘revealed’ for explosive summer storyline – but fans are horrified

EastEnders viewers reckon a Walford resident is set to turn into a murderer as part of the soap’s explosive summer storyline

EastEnders viewers could be set to see another Walford resident become a murderer in a shock twist – but fans.

It was recently confirmed that Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) and son Tommy Moon (Sonny Kendall) will be front and centre of a heartbreaking child to parent abuse storyline this summer.

Tommy’s troubling behaviour began at the start of the year, when Kat ended things with Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden). In recent weeks, he’s lashed out at his family, skipped school and even shoplifted from the Minute Meet.

However, in recent episodes, Kat found herself on the receiving end of Tommy’s outburst. In shocking scenes, his hostile behaviour turned violent.

The teenager became aggressive after he tried to play matchmaker between Kat her and her ex Phil and failed. Over the next few weeks and months, viewers of the soap will see Tommy use his behaviour to control and dominate Kat.

This will have a huge effect on their relationship, as well as a wider effect on the whole Slater-Moon family.

But now, with more drama to come, viewers reckon the heartbreaking new storyline could see Tommy turn into a killer – like his father, soap baddie Michael Moon – the sociopath who rolled up to Walford in October 2010.

Over on an EastEnders Facebook fan page, one viewer mused: “Does anyone think that Tommy Moon is capable of murder like Bobby or Ben?”

A second replied: “I agree. He’s turning downright sinister.” A third wrote: “Didn’t Bobby & Ben kill by accident? I think Tommy is capable of cold blood murder in a meditated pre-planned way.”

Another chimed in and penned: “I hope not but I think he will. Just what we need another killer in Albert Square.” A fifth said: “I don’t want them to go down that route.”

Other fans reckon they know which Walford resident he could kill, with one writing: “Perhaps Tommy will get rid of Nish.” Someone else replied: “That would be a good twist – someone unexpected and it wouldn’t paint Tommy in a really bad light.”

Speaking about the child to parent abuse, Chris Clenshaw, Executive Producer, said: “Kat is well-known in Albert Square for her no-nonsense attitude and fiery temper, but this storyline will explore how Tommy manipulates Kat’s unequivocal love for her son to exert his anger and elicit control.

“Jessie [Wallace] and Sonny’s [Kendall] performances have thoughtfully portrayed the complex realities of child to parent abuse with compassion and understanding, and the
