EastEnders Linda’s downfall confirmed as one resident exposes her – but not Dean or Bernie

Linda was told this Monday that Dean had received a harsh prison sentence after admitting he had raped her. But in a shocking move, she admitted she’d killed Keanu.

Someone close to home could betray Linda Carter after the pub landlady admitted she was responsible for the death of Keanu Taylor.

Actor Matt Di Angelo was confirmed to be leaving the BBC One soap and his character Dean Wicks was sentenced to nine years in prison after confessing to the rape of Linda Carter. Dean had originally been framed for the murder of Keanu Taylor as the Six remain desperate to keep their secret under wraps.

The Queen Vic landlady, played by Kellie Bright, was told by police this Monday, September 9, 2024, about Dean’s sentence and while this was reason enough to celebrate for her mother Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe), Linda made a confession that set the record straight as she admitted she was responsible for Keanu’s death.

This was despite her solicitor son Johnny (Charlie Suff) trying to interject in a bid to stop her from involving Elaine in the secret, which is already carried by Linda, five other women in the Square and Jack Branning.

Elaine was clearly taken aback by Linda’s confession, as she told her that she would face the music and leaving custody of her two young children, Annie and Ollie, to her mother. Unfortunately, Elaine was not happy about the situation, reminding Linda that her autistic son would need the type of care she may not be able to provide while pulling pints at The Vic.

Over on Twitter, now X, Elaine received a lot of backlash as she appeared to focus more on George Knight, rather than her own daughter and grandchildren. “Elaine proving yet again just how TRASH she is as mother”, one of them wrote on the social media platform.

Someone even branded the character the “worst mother in the Square” as they echoed: “I swear Elaine can get in the bin she came and took over Linda’s home brought a whole family with her and she’s still treating Linda like s***.” A third agreed: “Elaine is an AWFUL mother, someone call social services NOW.”

But with the pressure clearly getting to Elaine the moment Linda casually confessed to killing Keanu on Christmas Day, one theory claims that she may become overwhelmed, crack and expose her daughter for the crime she committed, leading to her downfall and a potential prison sentence. Elaine has recently been criticised for turning a blind eye to Linda’s alcohol struggle but could she make things even worse by leading her to prison?

In recent scenes, Linda came to terms with her distress as she told Bernie Taylor the truth about Keanu’s death, despite the consequences. But instead of turning Linda in to the
