EastEnders icon looks ageless as she ditches soap past and unveils new look

Actress Lucy Speed, who is best known for her role as Natalie Evans in EastEnders, has left fans stunned as she unveiled her natural curls on social media

Former EastEnders stunner Lucy Speed has wowed her followers with a snap flaunting her fabulous natural hair. The soap icon, better remembered as Natalie Evans from the long-running BBC soap, took to social media flashing her latest ‘do with the caption: “Natural curls today. Thanks to the weather.”

Admirers were all over her fresh look, with fans gushing, “You’re beautiful. Like, ridiculously beautiful,” and another chiming in: “Lucy your Hair is fabulous like that. Natural look is my favourite style.”

The 47-year-old telly star first stole hearts on EastEnders, taking viewers on a ride as Natalie starting in 1994 and earning her street cred as Bianca Jackson’s (Patsy Palmer) ultimate sidekick. Throughout her juicy Albert Square saga, she romanced and wed Barry Evans (Shaun Williamson), only to crush him later by confessing her love had fizzled out.

She stirred more drama by having an affair with Ricky Butcher (Sid Owen), yet ultimately waved goodbye to the show in 2004.

After shining on EastEnders, Lucy went on to shake things up on the airwaves with The Archers and recently stepped into the role of Stella Pryor last year, reports OK!.

Besides being our beloved Nat, Lucy’s been a TV regular with an array of gigs under her belt. When she wasn’t stirring drama as Natalie, she was cracking cases as DS Stevie Moss on ITV’s The Bill between 2008 and 2010.

The acclaimed actress had audiences hooked with spellbinding performances in top TV dramas such as BBC’s 2015 hit ‘Cradle to Grave’, as well as ITV’s ‘Marcella’ and ‘Unforgotten’.

In 2018, eagle-eyed viewers were quick to recognise Lucy in ‘Marcella’. As the second series kicked off, one particular character, the mother of Adam portrayed by Leslie Evan, caught the attention of fans.

Social media was abuzz with speculation about the familiar actress. “Who is this mum of the boy who puked, was she in EastEnders? #Marcella,” quizzed a viewer, referring to the scene where Adam throws up after his mum breaks the news of staying with his father for a week.
