EastEnders viewers are speculating a major twist will see one of The Six confess to killing Keanu Taylor resulting in Dean Wicks being freed, but they don’t think it’s Linda Carter

EastEnders viewers believe a soap icon could be sent to prison in a murder twist.

One viewer even questioned if it could be what leads to the comeback of a past villain, following the news one cast member was reprising their role after years away. A new trailer for big episodes ahead on the BBC soap teased Dean Wicks facing court during Keanu Taylor’s murder trial.

The Six take centre stage once more and find their secrets coming under threat, eight months on from Keanu’s murder. Linda killed Keanu to protect Sharon Watts on Christmas Day, and the women covered up the crime, burying Keanu’s body.

When the body was found, the women continued to cover up their crimes with the help of a handful of residents who had learned the truth. Dean was then framed for the murder amid him causing trouble for a number of residents, and he’s been in prison ever since.

In the trailer he is heard pleading his innocence, as the guilty women attend court to see his fate. As they face their guilt coming to light, it’s clear everything comes down to whether Dean will be sent to prison or not amid his exit from the show.

But a new theory has teased he might go free, and someone else will be sent down. Viewers don’t think Dean or killer Linda will be the ones heading to prison, and that one of The Six might confess.
