Nugget’s health is about to take a turn for the worse as the teenager abuses steroids, but as his parents receive bad news could Nish’s life be about to be saved?

EastEnders fans are convinced Nugget is going to die from steroid abuse and dying Nish Panesar will get his heart in a transplant plot.

As viewers of the BBC One soap will know, Nish is terminally ill as his heart is failing at a quicker rate than doctors anticipated after being diagnosed with viral myocarditis. The doctor told Nish that unless he gets a heart transplant – which is very difficult to come by – he will die sooner rather than later.

But this week, Davinder `Nugget’ Gulati finds himself being rushed to hospital after he collapse’s in the street after taking steroids.

The teenager is quickly taken to hospital where Priya Nandra-Hart and Ravi Gulaiti are distraught, and are soon hit with shocking news about their son’s condition.

In the hospital, Dr Miller informs Nugget’s family that his kidneys are failing and questions if he’s been using drugs, a claim they deny.

However, Ravi pulls Dr Miller aside to voice Zack’s steroid suspicions. A heated argument ensues between Ravi and Priya about their parenting shortcomings, but they find solace in each other’s company.

The situation takes a turn when Dr Miller confirms Ravi’s suspicion – Nugget has indeed been using steroids.

As Nugget receives medical care some EastEnders fans are convinced Nugget is going to die and his grandad will receive his heart to save his life.

Taking to X, one EastEnders fan asked: “If Nugget dies from steroids, would Nish get his heart #Eastenders @bbceastenders.”

A second stated: “I reckon Nugget will die from taking steroids and his heart will go to Nish. #EastEnders.”

A third chimed in with: “No way- does Nugget dies of a heart attack, due to the effects of steroid usage & Nish gets his heart & lives!! #Eastenders Does that mean then Priya is also then stuck with him being abusive to her, especially in grief for her son’s death too.”

“Calling it now, they’re going to kill off Nugget because of the roids and Nish is going to get his heart transplant #EastEnders”, added another.
