EastEnders’ Roxy Mitchell was killed off in 2017 – but viewers are certain the soap legend is about to make a shock comeback
EastEnders fans are predicting the return of soap legend Roxy Mitchell – but with a twist.
The soap legend, played by Rita Simons, made her debut in 2007. Along with sister, Ronnie (Samantha Womack) the pair quickly became firm-favourites.
And it’s fair to say Roxy played a part in several big storylines. From her doomed marriages to becoming the landlady of the Queen Vic, her time in Albert Square was not short of drama.
However, in 2017, Roxy and Ronnie were tragically killed off after 10 years on the soap. In one of the soap’s most controversial episodes ever, the sisters met their untimely deaths by drowning together on Ronnie’s wedding day.
However, over in the soap at the moment, things have taken a dramatic turn for Roxy’s daughter Amy (Ellie Dadd). The teenager found herself involved in a horror crush at the bar, Peggy’s.
Walford residents like Peter (Thomas Law) and Bobby (Clay Milner Russell) turned up to the venue, and after getting inside, they quickly realised things were getting out of hand.
With Peggy’s incredibly overcrowded, all the exits were blocked due to the huge crowds. Trapped, panic started to set in for the club-goers, including underage teenager Amy Mitchell who snuck in.
The crowd eventually managed to get out – but more drama was to come. Amy was wheeled away into an ambulance and then went into cardiac arrest just seconds later and was rushed to hospital.
Since then, she has remained in hospital – but viewers reckon Amy’s mum Roxy could make a shock return in the form of a hallucination.
Viewers will recall Roxy previously made a comeback via a hallucination during a therapy session with her daughter Amy last year.
On social media, fans have shared their thoughts that Roxy could return again. One person said on a Reddit thread: “I think it’d be awesome to have some more dream scenes with Amy and Roxy… that’s what I am hoping for and then Amy recovers.”
