EastEnders has confirmed which Albert Square residents have been injured in the crowd crush, in the show’s latest episode.
This week, Chelsea meddled with the booking system for Penny’s club night which led to the venue becoming overcrowded, and a dangerous crush intensified.
In today’s episode, chaos unfolded at Peggy’s, and while Penny and Zack were determined to get everyone out, the fire exit was blocked.
Zack told Lauren that there was another fire exit through the office – where Cindy and Junior were continuing their affair.
The door was locked so Lauren used the fire extinguisher to break down the door, but when she gained access, she was trampled on by the crowd behind her and was left unconscious.
As the crowd tried to get back upstairs, Penny was pushed out of her wheelchair, while Howie comforted Kim who was having a panic attack.
George’s family reunion was interrupted by Cindy and Ian informing him of the crush, and he surveyed the scene as Peter waited with a lifeless Lauren for an ambulance.
Callum found a distraught Penny lying injured on the floor of the club, and she blamed herself for what happened – while Nugget regained consciousness and called for help.
Meanwhile, Jack and Denise were finalising their divorce when they were told about the crush, and they rushed to the scene to find their children.
At the pub, Ian asked Cindy why she was at Peggy’s when she said she had a migraine, but she brushed it off by telling him she was scared.
Cindy then found Junior and told him that Lauren had seen them together and was concerned about what she might say.
Lauren woke up at the hospital and was distressed after realising that the last time she was here was when her sister Abi died. She was comforted by Peter, but she also questioned why Cindy was in the office.
