Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that fans are mighty sad they don’t get to see Ericole live out their happily ever after. The actress who plays Nicole Walker, Arianne Zucker, was let go from the soap earlier this year after her contract expired, which sparked a wrongful dismissal and sexual harassment lawsuit on her part.
The only silver lining in this all was that the character exited on a good note, simply moving to Paris with Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) and their baby boy, Jude Brady (Oliver McLarty) to start a fresh chapter.
Still, as Eric has returned and is embroiled in a new storyline, fans can’t help but feel as if there’s a chance that Nicole could return.
Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Nicole Walker’s Name Has Been Dropped A Lot
DOOL spoilers remind fans that Ericole left for Paris in late July, and Eric is already back on the canvas. Of course, he’s returned to support his brother Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) who has been hauled into Salem’s PD.
Brady believes he ran down Sarah Horton-Kiriakis (Linsey Godfrey), causing her paralysis, but fans know better.
In the midst of all this drama, new chaos has surfaced, as Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis) recently found out that Eric was the drunk driver behind her bio dad’s, Dr. Daniel Jonas (Shawn Christian) passing.
As Nicole plays a vital role in keeping this secret from Holly, all these years, her name has been dropped, a lot. Could the soap be foreshadowing a return?
DOOL Spoilers – Recast Or OG?
As of this writing, there’s no indication that Arianne Zucker could return to the canvas, anytime soon. After all, her lawsuit is still ongoing and with the soap taking several months in advance to film, it’s unlikely the actress could make a comeback until late 2025 (the earliest).
Still, could the show decide to hire a recast? This is a sticky debate, as on the one hand, there’s only ever been one actress in the role.
However, if an iconic character like Jennifer Horton (played by both Melissa Reeves and Cady McClain at different times) can, then maybe a Nicole Walker recast would work, too?
