Li, Rafe, Everett and Bobby… Days of Our Lives’ Connie is just going after anyone and everyone who gets in her way and comes between her and her ultimate goal: Making Gabi and Stefan pay for what they did to Li. (Don’t worry about her being the one to actually, you know, kill Li. Sanity and rationality isn’t something that troubles someone who has romantic dinners with dead people.)

Now, Connie’s got Ava and Stefan’s affair in her back pocket and, as of yesterday (you can read the recap here), she’s decided to keep it to herself so she can strike at just the right moment. After all, it’s a card she’ll only be able to play once.

Our guess is Connie is planning to pull it out once she wins over Gabi enough to let her guard down. That way, Connie can use the secret to convince her boss that she’s the only person she can trust. And that would put Bobby and Everett’s killer in the perfect place to strike. But that may be harder than she thinks. Ava and Melinda are already catching on to the fact that there’s something very wrong with her. Stefan and Gabi both acknowledge that she’s more than a little off.

Connie may weasel her way into Gabi’s life a bit, but we’ve got a feeling the fashionista isn’t going to remain blinded for long. As Cherie Jimenez told Soaps.com when she spoke with us a little while back, right now, Gabi is in “boss woman mode,” intent on rebuilding her empire. Between that, Rafe’s attack, and trying to reconnect with Stefan (give or take a few hiccups), she’s a bit distracted. In fact, she’s so distracted, she didn’t even remember her own anniversary!

Eventually — perhaps when her assistant pulls the trigger on Stefan’s Ava affair — Gabi’s going to realize that all of those distractions are tied together by one person: Connie. Gabi’s already going to be enraged to learn about Stefan’s infidelity. Once she figures out just how much Connie has messed with her life, from the prison sentence to trying to split her and Stefan with the Ava affair, to stabbing Rafe in the back, there will be hell to pay.
