With Ari Zucker out of the Peacock sudser, we knew Nicole’s exit was just around the corner. Yet, it was painful to see it actually happen on the screen. The only saving grace was the knowledge that she left to start a new life with Eric and their baby Jude!

However, Days spoilers confirm that Eric has temporarily returned to Salem to support his brother and to also admit to Holly that he caused her father’s accident.

Unfortunately, he has returned alone, and there is no sign of Nicole. But let us tell you that the soap has not written off Nicole entirely.

He adds that he would do anything and everything to bring her back if she would forgive him. However, it is highly unlikely that Arianne Zucker would return to the soap as Nicole. Also, we don’t think the makers would recast the role so soon.

Thus, there is a solid chance that we might get a Gabi and EJ romance meanwhile. The two certainly have fireball chemistry, and that hate sex was through the roof!

In fact, if they stretch the track over for some months, they would have the perfect storyline to weave Nicole’s return into. Imagine her coming back and finding EJ and Gabi in a relationship! Oh, the drama!
