DOOL spoilers reveal that Clyde Weston (James Read) was the one who started the ball rolling with the Abigail scheme. Clyde likely roped Mark in somehow. We will get to that part in a few.

When Clyde dropped the Abigail bombshell, Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) wasn’t sure what to believe. Clyde has been around Salem long enough to know how easy it would be to fake a paternity test.

Clyde is using Abigail as a get-out-of-jail-free card. However, since Abigail’s resurrection, Clyde seems to have vanished from the storyline.

Once Chad and Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) brought the woman back to Salem, they immediately got a paternity test.

Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) put a rush on it and the lab determined Abigail and Jack are definitely father/daughter. It was only explained recently that Mark was able to rig the paternity test.

Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) has her suspicions as does Gabi Hernandez-DiMera (Cherie Jimenez). However, Chad refuses to listen to Kristen’s warning.

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that Abigail always looks guilty. Abigail winces each time Chad looks at her a certain way.

Abigail told someone on the phone she couldn’t do this anymore. Abigail also mentioned to Mark that she had to throw Chad a bone, referring to a fake memory.

Abigail seems to feel guilt. However, does Mark? When speaking with Abigail, he seemed rather detached and emotionless about this scheme. Not a hint of feeling bad at all. However, Mark had a different expression when speaking with his little sister.

DOOL Spoilers – Mark Greene Broke & Bankrupt?

Mark asked Felicity Greene (Kennedy Garcia) if he would ever lie to her. Although Mark smiled sweetly at Felicity, his expression changed when they hugged. Mark looked guilty, remorseful, and shall I even say pained?

We know that Mark is a doctor, so he could have gotten caught up in Clyde’s durg operation mess. Clyde could be forcing Mark to do this, or maybe just making it impossible to refuse. Mark is raising his younger siblings. One is about to go to college and the other has Down syndrome.

Mark is still pretty young, so this might have happened back when he was still in medical school. Student loans, funeral debt, trying to support an instant family… Maybe Mark was in a lot of financial trouble. It’s possible the house was about to be foreclosed on and then Clyde showed up with an offer.

It’s clear Abigail and Mark are close. They don’t seem like lovers, more like friends. Good enough friends to hug upon meeting, though. So, who is this woman and will she have a sob story like Mark?
