Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that there may be a deeper reason behind Abe Carver (James Reynolds) and Kate Roberts Brady’s (Lauren Koslow) new project. DOOL fans know Kate wanted to get into scripted programming anyway, so she ultimately decided to work with Abe on saving Body and Soul.

Although this fictional soap opera was recently canceled, Kate and Abe hope to breathe new life into it as they snatch it up and move production from LA to Salem.

During the week of July 15-19, Kate will meet with Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) and try to secure his investment.

That should tie Chad into this storyline, so we have to consider where Days is going with all this.

Body and Soul obviously has characters who are played by the usual Days cast members – like Charlemagne Delacroix (Deidre Hall) along with plenty of others.

Abe has mentioned the resemblance of certain Salemites to several key players on his favorite soap.

We also know Mark Greene (Jonah Robinson) has a mystery girlfriend and that Jonah Robinson has been photographed on set with AnnaLynne McCord – the same woman in the footage that Chad’s been mulling over.

However, that footage is rather odd since the woman is nicely dressed and not physically restrained.

It’s not your typical hostage video, so what if something else is going on here?

It’s possible that’s a portion of an audition tape or something from between takes on a TV or movie set.

What if Abigail DiMera’s (last played by Marci Miller) lookalike is an actress and spends a great deal of time in Los Angeles?

That would explain why Mark’s potential girlfriend hasn’t been seen in Salem yet. Maybe she flies out to LA a lot and is often behind closed doors with Mark when she’s not on the job.

Of course, if an acting gig opens up in Salem soon, then it makes perfect sense for Abigail’s lookalike to want to audition and try to stay closer to Mark.

That could be the whole point of moving Body and Soul to Salem – so that Abigail’s doppelganger will audition and give Chad a shock!

Perhaps Abe and Kate will find themselves on the hunt for a new actress to play a popular Body and Soul character.

It may be a situation where the other actress isn’t willing to relocate, so Kate and Abe might worry about whether a recast will be accepted.

It’s easy to imagine a conversation where Abe and Kate talk about how this character has already flipped-flopped between recasts multiple times.

That could be a little wink to the audience about Kate Mansi and Marci Miller previously
