She’s heading back to Spain!

Coronation Street’s Tracy McDonald will once again leave the cobbled streets of Weatherfield, but not before she has offered some parting advice to Steve.

Tracy returned to her home last month after some time in Spain with her boyfriend Tommy Orpington, though not all has been well as she harboured some doubts about the situation.

She eventually decided to give Tommy another chance, with Monday’s (September 16) scenes seeing Amy, Ken and Cassie say their goodbyes before she heads to the airport.

She has a word with her estranged husband Steve before she heads off, however, telling him that he should pursue a relationship with Cassie given their obvious feelings for each other. Will Steve heed her advice?

It won’t be the last time we see Tracy on Corrie, however, with actor Kate Ford confirming that the latest exit is merely a temporary one before a lengthier comeback later in the year.

Though Tracy’s absence will not be permanent, Weatherfield recently lost an important resident as Paul Foreman sadly passed away following a year-long battle with Motor Neurone Disease (MND).

The character’s death brought an end to Peter Ash’s six-year stint in the role, with the actor sharing a heartfelt farewell message to fans of the soap following the character’s death.

“So, my time on Corrie has come to an end,” he began in the video. “I just want to say – thank you to everyone for the support you’ve given me over the years and with the storylines I’ve done. I really appreciate it. We’d be nothing without our fans, so thank you very much. I’ve had the time of my life filming Corrie. I’m going to miss everybody, but I’m excited to see what’s next [for me]. From the bottom of my heart, thank you to everybody for watching.”
