Coronation Street star Jane Danson was flooded with messages to pass on to her husband as she paid tribute to him on his birthday. The actress isn’t always active on social media but made an exception to mark Robert Beck’s special day.

Jane, who is famed for playing Leanne Battersby in the ITV soap, has been with actor Rob for more than two decades. He’s also a familiar face in TV, having starred in Brookside, Emmerdale, Waterloo Road, and even had a stint in Corrie in 2008.

More recently, Robert played Fergus Collins in Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks and had a dramatic short stint in Emmerdale at the end of last year as villain Damon ‘Harry’ Harris.

Marking her other half’s birthday, Jane took to Instagram with a throwback photo of Rob as well as a more up-to-date snap showing him beaming for the camera as he tucked into lunch while on what appeared to be a sun-soaked holiday.

Alongside the post, she wrote: “Happy birthday my @robertbeck529. 56 years young ! Love you forever.” And her Corrie co-stars were among those sending birthday wishes.

Georgia Taylor, who plays Jane’s on-screen sister Toyah Habeeb, wrote: “Happy birthday Rob!!” Sally Metcalfe icon Sally Dynevor replied: “Happy Birthday @robertbeck529 xxxx.” Meanwhile, Loose Women’s Denise Welch shared: “Happy birthday Rob,” and Hollyoaks actress Alex Fletcher added: “Happy Birthday what a gent.”
