Coronation Street legend Sue Cleaver is making a comeback as Eileen Grimshaw next month. Her character was last seen in April, heading to Thailand after getting shocking news about her son Jason’s motorbike accident. Since then, we’ve hardly heard from her.

But just last week, she called her boyfriend, George Shuttleworth, asking him to send money for Jason’s hospital bills. During her time away, she missed out on the whole George-Glenda feud. Coronation Street viewers must remember when George and his sister Glenda discovered their late dad Archie left them a profitable funeral business.

She missed out on years of making money. There’s so much to catch up on. Meanwhile, Sue has been touring the country off-screen in Sister Act: The Musical as Mother Superior. The tour ends in October, but she has already passed on her role to former co-star Wendi Peters.

In a recent interview, the Coronation Street star mentioned that she had finished performing in ‘Sister Act.’ She expressed how much she enjoyed her time in the show, highlighting that it had been 30 years since she had last been on stage. Despite her initial fear and uncertainty, she embraced the opportunity and went for it.

She shared with OK! Magazine that the experience was incredible. The soap star also hinted at a future return to the stage. This came after she described theatre as her first love. Additionally, she shared her plans to return to ‘Coronation Street’ after a short holiday.

The actress stated, “I’m having a little holiday, and then I will be heading back into Corrie in July so they can see me back there. I will be back.” Considering that the soap films 6-8
