The ITV soap’s week comes to an emotional end

Before the next week of Coronation Street comes to an emotional end, there’s a vicious attack and a tense confrontation in Weatherfield while Debbie Webster comes to someone’s rescue.

Starting with Leanne Battersby and she’ll be seen speaking to mentor Rowan Cunliffe about the article but he manages to pull the wool over his eyes. Despairing at Leanne’s naivety, sister Toyah Habeeb heads off for her hospital appointment alone. However, she is shocked when Nick turns up and they go in to see the consultant together.

Later in the week, Toyah goes to another hospital appointment alone but again, she is touched when she finds Nick waiting for her. However, as they hug, Nick spots a man taking a photo. Convinced Rowan is behind the photo, Nick is determined to sort him out. What will he do?

Meanwhile, Mason Radcliffe and the teen will be back next week as he’s released from the Young Offenders facility. With Mason’s release on his mind, an anxious Dylan Wilson arrives for his shift at Speed Daal. But he’s unaware that a shocked Stu has found a bloody and battered Mason near the precinct. But what has happened to him?

However, it’s not long until Dylan’s worst fears come true when he comes face to face with an angry Mason for the first time since he was sent down for being in possession of a knife, which he used to threaten Liam Connor during one of his cruel bullying sessions.

Elsewhere, Michael and Ronnie Bailey offer to help Joel Deering move a chest of drawers from his old flat to Dee-Dee’s. Joel gets Lauren Bolton out of the flat by giving her money to go shopping.

However, as Michael helps Joel with the chest of drawers, Ronnie takes a look in the fridge and remarks that it’s packed with ready meals for one. How will Joel respond?

Later, in Joel’s flat, he promises a bored Lauren she’ll be on her way to Ireland within a week. Lauren, however, soon calls on Max Tuner, desperate for some normality.

Also, Debbie Webster comes to the rescue after she spots her nephew Jack being bullied about step mum Abi’s deepfake porn video and explains that they are not really Abi. Jack makes Debbie promise not to tell Abi and his dad Kevin that he knows.

It comes after Abi returns from Essex and makes it clear to Kevin she wants to forget all about Stefan Brent. However, after coming to Jack’s recuse, Debbie is shocked when Stefan arrives at the hotel.

Spoilers have also revealed that next week, on Friday (July 26), a whole episode of Corrie will be dedicated to Paul Foreman and Billy Mayhew. First, Billy calls the family together for a meeting at No.5 where Paul plays them a prerecorded message.

In it, he says that he’s dying, he can’t bear anymore fighting and right now he needs his mum, Bernie Winter, more than ever. Then, in the episode devoted entirely to Paul’s story he wakes to discover his speech has drastically deteriorated but is determined to enjoy his last day of freedom out of the flat after being told he can no longer use the stair lift.
