Coronation Street’s Toyah Habeeb was rushed to hospital in scenes this week after suffering from agonising stomach pains and told she’s finally pregnant

Coronation Street’s Toyah Habeeb could be in for a further twist after discovering she’s pregnant this week.

Toyah has struggled with her fertility for decades, with it recently being revealed she gave birth to a daughter, Rose, who was sadly stillborn. Toyah was forced to bury her in the park, where cops were digging for Lauren Bolton’s body.

This week, Toyah collapsed with agonising stomach pains and was rushed to hospital, only to be told she’s pregnant. The news came as a shock, especially with it being just weeks after she slept with her brother-in-law Nick Tilsley.

Despite Leanne being desperate to know who the father is, Toyah insisted she’d had a one-night stand with someone her sister doesn’t know. But fans think they’ve rumbled another twist for the soap siren – and it’s not Nick’s baby after all.

Instead, fans think Toyah could be involved in some very bad business concerning her late husband Imran Habeeb, who was killed off in a car crash caused by Toyah herself.

As he struggled to get her out of the car, Imran collapsed and seemingly died, though fans never saw the body afterwards.

Now fans think Toyah could actually be holding Imran hostage somewhere and attempting to get pregnant with his baby, after pointing out just how bizarre it is that after so many years of trying, she could fall pregnant after just one whirlwind night with Nick.

Taking to X to share their thoughts, one social media user said: “Crazy how all throughout Toyah’s relationship with Imran she couldn’t get pregnant but she has one bunk up with Nick and suddenly she’s got a bun in the oven.”

Another reached out to respond: “Nah she’s been keeping Imran hostage and he didn’t actually die so she could work on getting pregnant with him.” And another user posted: “Omg she does seem the type… and we never saw the body. It could be like Pat Phelan and that guy he held hostage.”

However, other eagle-eyed fans have turned to another potential culprit – Rowan, of The Institute cult fame. He and Toyah are sworn enemies, but some fans think the tension between them got too much to bear and erupted into a steamy affair.

One soap viewer suggested: “Need to know if Rowan has somehow impregnated Toyah through AI?” as another said: “Are we ruling out the possibility of it being Rowan’s?” A third social media user said: “Say Rowan and the Institute did something to Toyah off-screen that she’s unaware of, and they’ve somehow impregnated her?”

Another said: “Toyah’s pregnant with Rowan’s baby. Leanne will be more jealous about that than about finding out Toyah slept with Nick!”
