Viewers of the ITV soap were reminded of Daisy Midgeley and Daniel Osbourne’s ill-fated relationship

Coronation Street fans have issued a plea over a once popular couple as they said they ‘miss them’. Viewers of the ITV soap were reminded of Daisy Midgeley and Daniel Osbourne’s ill-fated relationship during the latest trip to Weatherfield as she made a confession.

Last week, Daisy was dumped by Ryan Connor after he decided he could no longer compete with Daniel for her affection after getting nowhere in his attempts to take their relationship to the next step.

He knew she still had feelings for Daniel and while Daisy insisted she loved Ryan, he said it wasn’t enough and that while they were no longer together, they’d remain bonded over their shared trauma over the acid attack involving Daisy’s stalker Justin Rutherford in March 2023.

But during Monday night’s (September 23) Corrie, Daisy was seen proving Ryan’s suspicions were correct. Daniel was seen popping by the Rovers to check on Daisy after hearing that her relationship with Ryan had come to an end.

Daisy soon took the opportunity to reveal how she truly felt to her former fiance, even though he’s now back in a relationship with former flame Bethany Platt.

During their conversation, Daniel was receiving repeated calls from Bethany, but focussed on dealing with Daisy rather than answer his girlfriend’s messages. “I understand that feelings don’t go away, but they do change,” he said before adding: “I’m sorry. I’m with Bethany now.”

As Ed and Ronnie Bailey arrived for a drink, Daisy put on a brave face and assured Daniel: “It’s okay. I’m okay,” before he headed off to find out what Bethany had wanted him for, only to later discover it was a Turkish hospital and that she was in intensive care after cosmetic surgery went wrong.

But as the storyline quickly unfolded, Corrie fans couldn’t help but share their hopes for a reconciliation between Daisy and Daniel. @xxchloe1809xx said: “Get Daniel and Daisy back together please!!!” @daisyxdanielx commented: “Poor Bethany but loved them Daisy and Daniel scenes tonight, miss them.”
