DS Lisa Swain, played by Vicky Myers, has been at the centre of several major storylines since her debut on the soap in 2021. Recently, she was heavily involved in the case of missing Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton), who disappeared earlier this year and returned to Weatherfield in July.

It was revealed that solicitor Joel Deering (Calum Lill) was responsible for her disappearance, having groomed and abused Lauren. When she returned pregnant with his child, Joel attempted to murder her and their unborn baby, Frankie.

Despite the horrifying ordeal, both Lauren and Frankie survived. The truth about Joel’s actions eventually came to light, but he has so far evaded justice, much to the dismay of Lauren, Lisa, and his fiancee Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown).

While Lisa continues her efforts to bring Joel to justice, fans have speculated about a potential romance between her and Carla Connor (Alison King). The two have shared numerous scenes, leading viewers to comment on their chemistry.

Carla even comforted Lisa when she broke down over the loss of her wife. However, some fans believe that Lisa might start a relationship with Dee-Dee instead, reports the Liverpool Echo.

Lisa and Dee-Dee’s burgeoning friendship has heated up on screen as they joined forces to take down Joel, leading fans to speculate about a potential romance.

On Twitter, one viewer speculated: “Swain and Dee-Dee should kiss.” Another hinted at workplace drama: “Kit will allege his ‘superior officer’ is doing Dee-Dee!”
