Junior Knight’s (Micah Balfour) affair with Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) looks set to be exposed next week, when the pair find themselves caught amongst a mass crushing disaster at Peggy’s nightclub.

In recent months, viewers of the BBC soap have watched in horror the former step-mother and step-son have engaged in a steamy fling behind Cindy’s partner Ian Beale’s (Adam Woodyatt) back.

While Cindy was adamant that their first steamy encounter was a one-off mistake, she quickly became jealous and tried to make him feel the same way by agreeing to an innocent drink with Harry Mitchell (Elijah Holloway) in the Queen Vic.

More recently, she’s taken full advantage of an almost empty house, with Ian and Kathy’s (Gillian Taylforth) taking a trip to the US and No. 45 becoming her love nest.

The pair were almost caught when Bobby Beale (Clay Milner Russell) came home from work early, but Cindy managed to get him to leave.

Last week, after an explosive row with Johnny Carter (Charlie Suff), Gina Knight (Francesca Henry) arrived on Junior’s doorstep and asked to move in, but with Cindy en route for a night of passion he declined his sister’s request and deeply offended her.

Later, his dad George (Colin Salmon) called to confront him over the incident, and clocked a woman’s heels on the floor. Another close encounter!

In upcoming scenes, Penny Branning (Kitty Castledine) arranges a carnival party at Peggy’s, and in a desperate attempt to shift tickets she stands on The Vic’s doorstep and manages to flog a few more.

Heading back to the bar, she has a frosty altercation with Chelsea Fox (Zaraah Abrahams), who takes it upon herself to meddle with the booking system and allow too many customers to be admitted.

Meanwhile, Junior has convinced Cindy to attend with him, but upon realising they’re under Ian’s watchful eye they escape into the office to continue their fun.

Little do they realise, a panic is stirring on the other side of the door as partygoers begin to be crushed.

Will they be caught?
