Beth Sutherland (Lisa George) finds herself unwillingly having to work with Betsy Swain (Sydney Martin) on a new scheme in Coronation Street next week.

Viewers will know that Betsy has been texting killer Joel Deering (Calum Lill) as part of her blackmail plot, having worked out that there is something dodgy about him.

Betsy, who is DS Lisa Swain’s (Vicky Myers) daughter, has also begun work experience at Underworld in recent weeks, impressing boss Carla Connor (Alison King) with her machine skills.

However, in forthcoming scenes, the devious teen finds a new target in Beth after catching her out at the factory.

She is intrigued to spy Beth letting herself into the Underworld and follows her – only to find Beth up to no good and using the premises on a money-making scheme.

Betsy tells Beth she wants in on the action or she’ll report her to Carla, leaving Beth to reluctantly show Betsy how to sew the counterfeit labels onto knock-off t-shirts.

But just how long is it before Carla catches them both out?

Reports emerged late last year that Lisa, 51, was set to leave the long-running series after starring in the soap for 13 years. However, the soap star appeared to have dispelled the claims at the beginning of the year.
