BBC EastEnders death ‘sealed’ in club crush twist – but it’s not Amy Mitchell

EastEnders fans are convinced another person could die on the BBC soap after Amy Mitchell was rushed off to hospital with serious injuries following the club crush at Peggy’s

EastEnders fans have rumbled who will die in the shocking club crush storyline – and it’s not Amy Mitchell.

Amy was the one who had the most severe injuries after the horror club crush scenes at Peggy’s, and at the end of tonight’s episode, she was rushed to hospital in an ambulance with real fears she could die. A number of other residents were caught in the crush, with Howie supporting Kim as she struggled with her anxiety, and Junior and Cindy also finding their way out of the club unhurt.

However, fans are convinced they know a new storyline on the Square following the club crush, which could lead to another resident’s death. Lauren Branning – played by Jacqueline Jossa – also found herself hurt in the crush, but was rushed to hospital, with viewers now convinced they know what her new storyline will be.

Taking to Reddit after the scenes aired, one suggested: “Anyone else reckon that Lauren’s injuries might lead to a bigger storyline? I’ve just got a gut feeling that her injuries might have a bigger impact than she realises,” with another adding: “I wondered about pain killer addiction?” A third shared: “They never emphasise painkillers in hospital in EastEnders and they really drove it home today.”

One fan wrote: “Yeah they really laid it on thick about the meds, I can definitely believe this’ll become an addiction storyline. I can imagine her stealing from Beale’s Eels and blaming Bobby, running some dodgy motors through the car lot for quick cash, and maybe even going on the game to keep up her habit. They made a big thing about her having no money, no savings, and no resources, so she’s hardly in a position to support any kind of habit without taking some drastic action.”

Lauren made her return in the New Year and teased her character was a lot different than before.

Asked how her character has changed, she said: “Growth! She seems to have grown. There is still this unspoken and underlying thing that she’s Max’s daughter and she always
