BBC EastEnders’ Chrissie Watts makes huge return leading to bombshell discovery amid murder trial

Chaos is on its way to Albert Square as Dean Wicks faces trial for the murder of Keanu Taylor but drama unravels when Chrissie Watts makes a surprise return next week

Chrissie Watts is set to cause a stir in Walford as her long-awaited return scenes will soon be aired.

Actress Tracy-Ann Oberman was tipped to reprise her EastEnders role after her BBC One alter ego was thrown behind bars for the murder of her unfaithful husband Den Watts in 2005.

But with another villain, Dean Wicks (played by Matt Di Angelo) set to face justice over the death of Keanu Taylor, Chrissie’s return to the Square, set to take place next week in explosive scenes, could spell trouble for Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean), who is desperately trying to avoid prison for her involvement in Keanu’s murder.

Sharon and Chrissie have been at loggerheads for years, with Den’s death making their feud more vitriolic than ever, but how will Chrissie’s return impact the Six’s plans?

Coming up, Chrissie Watts resurfaces in the fictional London borough next week, triggering a wave of drama to sweep across the Square and her return causes a huge stir later on in the week – but what will be her intentions?

Numerous twists and turns are to be expected ahead of Dean Wicks’ trial, but Sharon Watts may be the one to get the biggest bombshell in the courtroom in other upcoming scenes.

Speaking about the courtroom scene, Sharon actress Letitia Dean has teased mayhem as she confessed things will not go according the Six’s plan, particularly as Linda continues to struggle with her own guilt over Keanu’s death.

“It gets out of hand very quickly, and I don’t think any of the women could have predicted what happens, but that’s all I’ll say for now”, Letitia said. And as chaos continues to unfold, taking its toll on Linda Carter, Sharon is met with a bombshell that will leave her in a difficult position.

Letitia informed that Sharon will be overwhelmed by “sheer panic”, as she added: “It’s her worst nightmare. Sharon thinks Linda is heading straight for the bottle, and all of their chances of freedom are diminishing by the minute every second she is away from that courtroom.” Viewers are pre-emptively warned: “Expect a lot more drama. It’s far from over!”

Regular viewers of the London-based programme have speculated that Teddy Mitchell may have a connection with the long-lost soap legend but could she have some knowledge about Sharon’s wrongdoings to offer the courtroom? Or will she really have a
