Daytime Emmy nominee, Casey Moss (JJ Deveraux) will be back on your screens sooner than you think on Peacock’s Days of our Lives. The young actor who exited the show in 2020, when JJ went to Africa following the death of his grandfather, Bill Horton and make a brief appearance later that year, is coming to DAYS this month.
Soap Opera Digest is reporting that Casey’s first day back on all-new streaming episodes is on Thursday, October 17th as more familiar faces will descend on Salem in the coming months.
Fans can also expect scenes with his on-screen father Matt Ashford (Jack) and mother, Melissa Reeves (Jennifer) at some juncture.
Following his emotional exit from the soap opera, Moss became engaged to his longtime love Tru O’Brien, who formerly played Paige Larson on Days of our Lives, back in 2022.
That year he also popped back up on the show for the story arc surrounding the death of his sister, Abigail Deveraux DiMera (Marci Miller).

With JJ back, will he also help Chad (Billy Flynn) uncover the plot against him and that the woman he thinks is “Abigail” (AnnaLynne McCord) is really someone else? Before he left the canvas, JJ was a cop.
Will he rejoin the Salem PD force?
Back in 2017, Moss delivered one of his most poignant performances when JJ was ready to end his life after being guilt-ridden for shooting Theo Carver (then Kyler Pettis), in what also told the story of race relations in our country between the police and young Black men, who are shot more often just for the color of their skin.
He received his Daytime Emmy nomination in 2018 for this performance in the now defunct Younger Actor in a Drama Series category.
In 2016, Tru O’Brien picked up her Daytime Emmy for her work in the now defunct Younger Actress in a Drama Series category.
