Casualtys to introduce mysterious new character in Cam story

Casualty is set to introduce a mysterious new character in Cam Mickelthwaite’s story, in this week’s episode.

The show has been off-air for the last two weeks, as a result of Glastonbury and Wimbledon, and the show will return to our screens with a bang as an intriguing storyline unfolds.

Cam has had a difficult time over the first two episodes of the latest series of the medical drama, titled ‘Storm Damage’.

He faced a challenging shift where he and new clinical lead Siobhan had to treat a baby who had been injured in the storm that hit Holby.

Though the team did everything they could, Chloe tragically died in the ED, leaving Cam devastated.

But he later made things worse when he spoke to Chloe’s mum Abigail, and Cam’s desire to be completely honest meant he told her that he hesitated briefly before starting chest compressions.

With Abigail left thinking that Chloe’s death could have been avoided, Siobhan was furious with Cam and she put him on restricted duties.

In this Saturday’s episode (July 13), Cam is struggling to come to terms with what happened and still has Chloe on his mind.

He is given a boost by Jamie, a mentor from Cam’s past who recently joined the hospital board and who he is currently staying with.

At work, Siobhan reminds Cam to stick to the easy stuff during his shift, but this proves impossible when Rash leaves him in charge of treating heroin addict Joey.

Cam goes to the pharmacy and leaves Joey with his grandmother Alma but is horrified when he returns to find Joey unconscious in the toilets, with Alma standing over him.

Meanwhile, Siobhan stumbles across Jamie who is in a tense argument with a young man called Bobby, and she is suspicious.

Siobhan calls Jamie into her office to ask about what she saw, and Jamie explains how he knows Bobby and why he was confronting him in the hospital.

Cam’s shift takes a positive turn, and Siobhan gives him the good news that she is putting him back on full duties.

But Cam then runs into Bobby, and his hostile reaction shows that the pair know each other as well.

The truth is later revealed, but what is the mysterious connection between these three characters?
