When Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) caught them sleeping together behind husband Steve’s (Simon Gregson) back, she was forced to come clean and broke his heart by ending their marriage, citing him as boring.

Whilst she’s been sunning it up, Steve has been on a number of disastrous dates whilst their daughter Amy (Elle Mulvaney) has been left to manage her florist business, Preston’s Petals.

Meanwhile, pensioner Ken suffered a nasty fall, and decided to employ Cassie as his carer.

An unlikely bond has been struck up between the two, much to Tracy’s dislike.

Upon her return to Weatherfield last month, the two women immediately clashed when Tracy assumed that Cassie was now coupled up with Steve.

She even went as far to tell him that told despite being ‘desperate’, he could ‘do better than the local druggy’!

A cat fight broke out between the pair, as Steve watched on in despair. It also later transpired that things aren’t going very well in Spain, which was the rest for her arrival into Greater Manchester.

In tonight’s episode, Ken realised that his health was improving and that he no longer needed someone to care for him. This came as a devastating blow to Cassie, who seems quite smitten with her new job – and has her eye on his 50k pool winnings.

However, there was a silver lining. He said that he’d been enjoying her company in his old age and was happy to keep employing her to help with housework and be beside his side for a chat.

Tracy fumed at the idea and said that she was surplus to requirements, until Cassie hit back with the fact she’s been doing everything that his family should have done.

Understandably, and for once, Tracy was left speechless.

As the episode drew to a close, she clocked some subtle flirting between Steve and Cassie, which he flat out denied.

Is Tracy hoping for a reunion?
