Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers note fans are still reeling from the hate-sex session between Gabi Hernandez-DiMera (Cherie Jimenez) and EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel).

These two have been at each other’s throats for a hot minute, but they put their difference aside to stick it to Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash).

While the steamy bed sesh caught viewers by surprise, actress Cherie Jimenez tells Soap Opera Digest (SOD) there was one person who wasn’t overly shocked.

Jimenez told SOD that the minute she told her mother Sandy that Gabi was about to embark on revenge sex, the actress’s mom knew it was going to be Stefan’s brother, EJ. Cherie states that when her mom brought up EJ’s name, she said, “no way”. After all, the two hate each other!

Still, Cherie’s mom went on to insist that EJ is Stefan’s brother, so if Gabi wanted to hurt her hubby, then sleeping with EJ would do that the most!

Days Spoilers – Surprise! Surprise! Mom Was Right

Jimenez goes on to tell SOD that the day after she chatted with her mom, the actress arrived in the studio, headed to the makeup and hair room, only to discover that everyone was talking about a storyline plot twist. Cherie states, “They go, ‘So, do you know who you sleep with?’ I go, ‘Who?’ They go, ‘EJ!’”

Of course, like a good daughter, Jimenez called her mom instantly to tell her she hit the nail on the head with her Days storyline predictions. Cherie adds that she only tells her mom “little bits” of what’s happening, as she knows her mother is a DOOL fan and she doesn’t want to give it all away!

As far as working with Dan Feuerriegel, Jimenez states she “loves him so much”, adding, “Dan is such an incredible actor, and I have felt incredibly comfortable working with him. I have had so much fun every time I’ve stepped on set with him.”
