Coronation Street star Lucy Fallon announces pregnancy with adorable reveal as co-stars share joy

Corrie star Lucy has shared the first glimpse of her baby bump as she confirmed her happy news with friends and fans

Coronation Street star Lucy Fallon has revealed she is pregnant – with an adorable video announcement. Her co-stars have been swift to send their congratulations after the video was shared by Lucy and her partner, footballer Ryan Ledson.

In a video posted to both of their instagram accounts, the couple are seen playing with their baby son, Sonny Jude, at their home. The video then switches to Lucy rubbing her burgeoning baby bump.

One-year-old Sonny is then seen playing with the sonography images of his new sibling. Bethany Platt star Lucy also shared a close up of the new baby’s scan image, as well as holding up her positive pregnancy test.

Announcing the surprise news, she captioned the video: “Half way there”.

Her Coronation Street co-stars past and present were quick to send their congratulations after the happy news was revealed.

Charlie Jordan wrote: “the family is growingggggg the family is beautifulllllll and bump is so lucky to have youuuuu.” Sally Carman said: “Oh Lucy, this is gorgeous news!”

Sally Ann Matthews said: “Another little beauty on the way” Channique Sterling-Brown added: “Yay!!! So excited for you and your gorgeous family.”

Lucy’s former co-star Ellie Leach messaged a simple: “OMG!” While Lucy’s on-screen mum, played by Tina O’Brien, sent love heart emojis to support the joyful announcement.

Lucy, 28, has been in a relationship with Preston North End footballer Ryan, 27, since meeting through friends back in 2020. They both appeared in the ITV documentary Drama Queens earlier this year, where they shared the highs and lows of life in the spotlight.

Lucy returned to Coronation Street last year to resume her role as Bethany Platt, after quitting the soap in 2020 after five years on screen. She made an explosive return and has been involved in plenty of dramatic storylines since her comeback.

The lovely baby news comes just days after former Corrie star Stephanie Davis revealed she is pregnant again too. The actress has confirmed she and her partner Joe McKalroy are expecting their first child together.

Stephanie, who is already mum to seven-year-old son Caben, said it’s been a ‘rollercoaster’ so far but is praying that the worst is over, so the couple can enjoy the rest of their pregnancy journey from now on.
