It’s official, all we need is one more death and Days of Our Lives has its next serial killer on its hands. Because Connie’s already killed two people (that we know of), and now it looks like her next victim is standing right on her doorstep: Melinda.
We know that Melinda has been on Connie’s radar from the start, as the killer blames her for hurting Li in some twisted way. It hasn’t, though, been clear what her plan has been for the former DA. Killing seems to be more of a means to an end for Connie, rather than part of her plots. She offed Bobby and tried to kill Rafe just to keep her secret about killing Li.
Her plan for Gabi, on the other hand, seems to be more along the lines of destroying her life and making her suffer. And up until now, we’ve kind of assumed she’d be content with the same for Melinda. Melinda, though, might have just tipped her hand. At least, she will if she barges in and finds that bizarre carboard cutout of Li. In Li’s former home. Where he was murdered.
Then again, Connie hasn’t acted rationally well, pretty much ever, so who knows what she’s going to do next. But Monday’s spoilers certainly aren’t looking good for Melinda — though it could be good for folks eager for Connie’s downfall!
Because after Melinda confronts Connie, the kooky killer panics. And panic makes people make mistakes.
If Connie kills Melinda, she’d have to go after Ava next — and fast. Because if Melinda goes missing, Ava knows she was on her way to fire Connie. That is definitely a motive. And while Li’s killer has managed to evade suspicion so far, there’s no way that could last five minutes once the cops are actively looking into her.

Then again, she could try to frame someone for Melinda’s murder, much like she did Bobby. But even for a town like Salem, there’s only so many murder/suicides that can happen before the cops get suspicious and start digging. And Jada, to her credit, is already suspicious of Bobby’s death. (Though admittedly, Sarah’s hit and run may be a bit distracting right now.)
Still, while Connie may be obsessed with true crime podcasts, she’s far from a criminal mastermind. And this time, she may have finally gone too far.
