BBC EastEnders’ Nish Panesar’s ‘imminent exit sealed’ as he makes death confession

EastEnders’ Nish Panesar discussed his possible death on the BBC soap after being diagnosed with a terminal illness recently, with it teased when it might happen

It may have been teased when Nish Panesar could leave BBC soap EastEnders in the latest episode.

On Monday night, Nish made a death confession to newcomer Ayesha as he tried to come between his ex Suki Panesar and her fiancée Eve Unwin. His plan failed though, as Ayesha refused to help her husband’s killer and left Walford.

But it was something Nish said to her that may have teased his exit could air soon, and at least by the end of the year. Nish revealed he was terminally ill earlier this year and said he needed a heart transplant to survive.

He’s now making business decisions and hoping to create some sort of legacy before he dies, while the soap has still not confirmed he definitely will be killed off. That said, he was told previously he had less time left than he thought he had, and his health has since deteriorated.

During a chat with Ayesha on Monday, he was heard claiming he wouldn’t be around much longer, teasing when he might leave the show. No date was specified and neither was an amount of time, but what he did say was that he wasn’t likely to be alive at Christmas.

With Christmas being just four months away, is Nish likely to pass away some time between now and December? The soap has not revealed when it will happen, but Nish’s comment may have been a hint that it will be sooner rather than later.

Nish actor Navin Chowdhry recently addressed claims from viewers that Nish may be lying about his illness. He said to us, remaining coy: “I think it’s exciting. I think nobody ever expected with a character like this – you’re constantly wondering who he’s going to inflict more pain on.

“Suddenly, for him to come back as the one in pain and vulnerable, needing his family – I thought it was a lovely twist. I was excited. There’s a lot of storytelling yet to come.”

Viewers have suspected he’s lying, but recent scenes appeared to suggest he was actually terminally ill. It led to fans fearing one of the family, perhaps Vinny Panesar, will be killed off in a twist.
