DOOL spoilers: SHOCKING NEWS – Emily O’Brien shares shocking news, never going back.

Emily O’Brien has made waves on Days of Our Lives, first as Gwen Rizczech and then as Theresa Donovan. Interestingly, she made her debut as the new Theresa on the same day she exited the canvas as Gwen. Fast forward to August 8th, the soap decided to write off the character of Theresa. But what does O’Brien say about her latest departure? Is this truly goodbye, or could she return to Salem sooner than we think?

Emily O’Brien Says Goodbye to DAYS

The Peacock soap’s decision to make Theresa leave compelled the fans to think out loud. They wonder if this marks the end of O’Brien’s time.

In an interview with Soap Opera Digest, Emily spoke about her emotional last day on Days of Our Lives set. She was in tears as she made her final announcement.

Moreover, the DOOL star did her usual job but with a bigger sense of gratitude this time. She stood on stage, faced the cameras, and expressed just how lucky she felt.

“I wasn’t supposed to be on the show for as long as I was,” O’Brien admitted. If you’re a loyal fan, you might remember she played Jana in The Young and the Restless.

However, after leaving the CBS soap in 2011, Emily never thought daytime TV would be in her future again. But guess what?

Not only did she land one great role on DAYS, but she also got to play two incredible characters. Reflecting on her time as Theresa, O’Brien shared that she grew to love the character and the storyline.
