Ken Bruce hosted the new TV version of Celebrity PopMaster this week, with soap star Richard Blackwood becoming the first to be eliminated from the Channel 4 quiz
One EastEnders star was “upset” on Celebrity PopMaster as his colleague played games with him.
On the telly version of the iconic radio quiz show, helmed by Ken Bruce, Richard Blackwood was joined by DJ Mista Jam, ex-Corrie favourite Sally Lindsay and rock singer Toyah Willcox. But things got a bit heated when a Bob Marley music video question popped up.
From the jump, Richard had the answer locked down, but protocol meant he had to pipe down since it was Mista Jam’s turn. Yet Mista Jam looked totally clueless about the Marley tune much to Richard’s dismay, flapping his hands about in disbelief.
Jam, who was topping the leaderboard, owned up: “See, this is before my time.”
Richard’s face was a picture of shock while presenter Ken noted: “Some real surprise reactions there!”, reports the Mirror.
Then cheeky Jam quipped: “I just quite like the fact that I’m really upsetting Richard, so can I go for three points?” With another hint thrown out there, Jam took a punt guessing One Love (People Get Ready) by Bob Marley. While Richard theatrically lashed out beside her, Sally snapped: “I don’t think that’s helping, Richard!”
Richard seemed to back Jam’s guess, turns out it was a swing and a miss. He conceded: “I thought that… Do you know what, is it Is This Love? “.
Right on the money, but it’s all moot Richard, famed for his Vincent Hubbard role in the Beebs EastEnders, still got the boot earliest, bagging just six points.
