It’s a Christmas miracle! After 45 episodes spread over four calendar years, Charmaine Roberts finally gives birth in Virgin River Season 5 Part 2, now streaming on Netflix. And baby whisperer Mel Monroe has a front-row seat to the long-awaited event, whether she likes it or not.
“I’m so glad that we jumped ahead in time [for the Christmas episodes], because that poor thing was wearing a belly forever and ever,” Alexandra Breckenridge (Mel) tells TVLine of co-star Lauren Hammersley (Charmaine). “I remember one season people were like, ‘She’s pregnant? We can’t see it.’ And I was like, ‘It’s been two months [on the show]!’”
