Days of Our Lives spoilers tease that EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) played dirty to keep Nicole Walker (Arianna Zucker) from reuniting with her true love, Eric Brady (Greg Vaughn). Although he didn’t start the ruse that he was the father of Nicole’s baby, once he found out he did everything in his power to keep Nicole and Eric from discovering the truth. In the end, it cost him Nicole once and for all. Now Nicole is leaving Salem, most likely forever.

EJ and Sami Brady (Allison Sweeney) have also never been able to work things out, meaning EJ’s two true loves are both now lost to him. But EJ also briefly had a sexual relationship with Sami’s married younger sister, Belle Black (Martha Madison).

Belle eventually went back to her husband, Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) once Shawn realized he had a drinking problem and checked into rehab. Belle and Shawn have left Salem and are hoping to work on their marriage.

Both Shawn and Belle will be returning to Salem later this year, but it looks as if Belle will be sticking around a little longer. Perhaps Shawn and Belle will call it quits for good. If that happens, perhaps Belle and EJ can see if they have what it takes to be a real couple.

They had quite a bit of chemistry the first go around but at the time both of their heart belonged to other people. If they come together this time, perhaps they could make a real love connection.

Because of his failed relationship with Sami and the fact that he kept Eric from knowing he was the father of Nicole’s baby, EJ has a lot to answer for. Belle certainly won’t like what EJ has done, but that doesn’t mean she wouldn’t give him a chance.

If they do take their relationship public, Belle’s mother Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) won’t be very happy about it.

After all, she just slapped EJ in response to what he did to Eric. So even if Belle and EJ, do become a couple they will likely have a difficult time finding acceptance in Salem.
