While Cindy Beale embarked on an affair with Junior Knight, EastEnders fans believe another romance is on the horizon and a pregnancy twist could be in the works

A new theory emerged online as EastEnders viewers believe Junior Knight will cause more chaos with Cindy Beale and Lauren Branning.

Thursday’s (July 18) trip to Albert Square, aired on BBC One, saw the soap legend portrayed by Michelle Collins face reminders of what she once had and lost when her former husband George Knight and his fiancée Elaine Peacock handed out wedding save the dates around The Vic.

But once she saw George’s son Junior (Micah Balfour) forget all about their fling and seemingly bond with Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa), Cindy decided to throw caution to the wind and start an affair with Junior.

Now fans think that, in typical EastEnders fashion, another twist is ahead as a viewer took to Facebook, suggesting that two baby bombshells will rock the Square.

The soap watcher wrote: “I reckon Junior will end up sleeping with Lauren. Cindy or Lauren will end up getting pregnant or both at the same time by Junior.”

Fans reacted quickly to the new theory as one responded: “He’s the new Max Branning”, in reference to Lauren’s father who has had plenty of affairs in the Square. Another echoed: “He will get Lauren pregnant.”

“That’s my theory too or Lauren won’t know who the dad is”, a third viewer then agreed, while another commented: “I think it may be Lauren and her cousin who get pregnant same time.”

Viewers of the London-based programme have theorised that Junior and Lauren will have their own affair after spotting them together in the Square, and knowing Junior is nothing short of a ladies’ man.

One TV watcher speculated over on X, otherwise known as Twitter: “I reckon Junior will end up sleeping with Lauren”, while another added: “Apparently I saw there is gonna be a love triangle (think I spelt it right) between the three.” A third guaranteed: “He will get Lauren pregnant”, just as another agreed: “That’s my theory too and Lauren won’t know who the dad is.”

Lauren Branning is currently romantically involved with Cindy’s son Peter Beale (Thomas Law), with the hunk trying to prove his love for her during a family meal organised by his father (and Cindy’s on-off partner), Ian Beale.

The BBC has aired a major week of drama for the Beales as Jane Beale (Laurie Brett) made an explosive return to Albert Square as she grew desperate to bond with Bobby Beale (Clay Milner Russell).

Both Jane and Bobby lost touch with one another after the lad was thrown behind bars for murdering Lucy Beale – a crime Jane had tried to cover up to protect then-10-year-old Bobby. In another twist, it was revealed that Jane had rekindled her romance with Masood Ahmed (Nitin Ganatra).

Meanwhile, Junior has wreaked havoc since he was first introduced to EastEnders viewers, earlier this year. Before bedding Cindy Beale, his father’s former wife, the hunk romped with Bianca Jackson, despite being married to Monique, before brutally rejecting her.
