Jane Beale returned to EastEnders in recent scenes and the EastEnders icon ends up contacting another former Walford resident tonight
EastEnders legend Jane Beale recently returned to Walford after seven years away.
The fan favourite reached out to ex-husband Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) in a bid to rebuild her relationship with Bobby Beale (Clay Milner Russell).
Jane speaks to Masood Ahmed (Nitin Ganatra), a former Walford resident who she had a steamy affair with back in 2011 which led to end of his and Zainab Massod’s (Nina Wadia) marriage, on the phone during Wednesday’s (July 17) episode, which is available to watch in BBC iPlayer.
Jane spoke to Masood and thanked him for the advice surrounding Bobby’s birthday present and said it was a huge success. Judging by the call, its safe to assume they are seeing each other but their romance has been far from smooth sailing. Masood and Jane first became close after they began consoling each other about their respective partners.
They once met at a hotel with the intension of having sex, however, they both changed their minds instead and decided to remain friends. Ian learned of Masood and Jane’s encounter and confronted him, punching Masood in the face.
Jane later left Walford but returned divorced from Ian and Masood told her he cannot be just friends with her and they kiss. The pair then begin a discreet relationship.
On the day that Masood and Zainab’s divorce is finalised, Masood and Jane were spotted together and Zainab then learned of their relationship. She wished Masood well, but also told him that she is marrying Yusef Khan (Ace Bhatti).
Jane and Masood’s romance didn’t last and Nitin was last seen playing Masood back in 2019 after he decided to flee Albert Square to set up a new life in Australia but will he end up coming back to Walford? Fans are hoping so with some rushing to social media begging for his return.
