Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Abe Carver (James Reynolds) and Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) are planning a shocking new business endeavor together.

They worked quite well together when Abe was Mayor and they want to recreate that relationship in a brand new venture. Kate brought an idea to Abe about producing a television series.

Abe then suggested they create a soap opera like his beloved Body & Soul. Kate was reluctant at first, but soon warmed to the idea.

Abe was terribly upset when he learned Body & Soul was cancelled but it gave Kate an idea. Instead of creating a brand new soap, Kate wanted to buy the right to the newly cancelled show.

The plan would be to move production to Salem to keep costs down and revive Body & Soul since it was cancelled by the network for political reasons, not because it had low ratings.

But Abe and Kate know nothing about television production so they are going to need all the help they can get.

That’s where Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) might prove invaluable in reviving Body & Soul in Salem. As viewers know, Johnny dreams of becoming a movie director.

In fact he and his wife, Chanel Dupris (Raven Bowens) were just about to leave Salem for Los Angeles so Johnny could work for one of his favorite directors.

Unfortunately, Chanel had a miscarriage right before they were about to move across the country. Needing their family around during this terrible time, Johnny and Chanel have decided to stay in Salem.

Hiring Johnny as Body & Soul’s director would benefit everyone involved. Since Kate and Abe know nothing about the television industry, Johnny could help provide them with the know-how to get show off the ground. And it would give Johnny something to do as well as hone his skills.

What better way to learn how to make movies than to work on a television show with such a frantic pace? Surely other Salem residents will get involved as time goes on but a core team of Kate, Abe and Johnny seems to indicate the show will be a huge success for everyone?
